Passion or Pastime?

You always make time for the things that are important to you. We all do. Going to work, going to church, paying taxes, catching a plane, standing for the national anthem, eating – you get the idea. Our passions also take time, even to the point of consuming our thoughts while we are busy with other things we’ve scheduled in our day.

Episode 12 of Monster in the Making® is a wake-up call to realize whether something is a Passion or Pastime? In fact, that’s the name of this episode. Matching our talents and gifts with our calling and desires is part of finding our purpose and passion in life. There’s no such thing as a passive, or part time passion. This podcast is about defining and dominating yours.

Our pastimes - or the things we do for entertainment, recreation and/or fun - usually involve others. Our passions are personal to us as individuals. Knowing the difference makes all the difference. Our pastimes are usually for when we have downtime. Our passions rarely have an “off” button.

David and crew hash out the reasons for owning your unique abilities to pursue your unique passions and not what others think your passions should be. How else would you enjoy the most demanding, most satisfying work you may ever attempt?
